Staff members from the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, representing team “Muggle,” won first place at the CMU-AI Hackathon 2026 for their innovative AI application project, “CMU e-Document AI+ : Beyond Digital Documents.”

The hackathon was organized as part of a workshop under the AI Change Agent Development Project, hosted by the Human Resources Division, Chiang Mai University, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Khum Phucome Hotel.

The award-winning project, CMU e-Document AI+, leverages artificial intelligence to elevate the university's electronic document system. The solution analyzes document content, suggests appropriate recipients and actionable tasks, sends automated deadline reminders, and integrates seamlessly with various university systems. This innovation significantly reduces repetitive tasks, minimizes routing errors, and enables staff to handle administrative documentation faster and more efficiently.

This remarkable achievement reflects the faculty's commitment to driving innovation and applying AI technology to enhance operational performance, aligning with the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences' strong policy on continuous personnel development and capability building.
