The Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, led by Professor Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert, Dean, alongside Associate Professor Dr. Aatit Paungmali, Vice Dean, welcomed Dr. Surach At-Supajatturas, Deputy Director of Finance and Innovation from the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA, and Associate Professor Dr. Kanda Boonsothonsatit, Chair of the Northern Region Working Group and Director of the Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMUC). The visit aimed to monitor the progress of innovation projects funded by the NIA for the fiscal years 2025–2026.

During the visit, Assistant Professor Dr. Siriphan Kongsawasdi from the Department of Physical Therapy and Assistant Professor Dr. Kittichai Wantanajittikul from the Department of Radiologic Technology, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, CMU, presented the progress of their funded project titled “BALANCE-D: A Fall Prevention System Integrating Sensors and Physical Performance Training Programs.” This innovation specifically focuses on enhancing safety and quality of life for the elderly.

The presentation and progress review took place on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Conference Room 1, Building 2, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University.
