The Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, led by Professor Dr. Sakorn Pornprasert, Dean, alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Phennapha Klangsinsirikul, Vice Dean, and Associate Professor Dr. Ratchada Cressey, Assistant Dean, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hainan University. The signing ceremony took place during the ASEAN–China Women and Children’s Health Development Consultative Meeting 2026, held from May 28–31, 2026, in Beijing, People's Republic of China.

This MOU was established as part of the collaborative initiatives among member institutions of the ASEAN–China Women and Children’s Health Cooperation Center (ACWCC). It aims to foster future cooperation in education, joint research, student and staff exchanges, and collaborative academic projects. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Surat Phewsawang, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Health Promotion, Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, who also serves as Thailand's representative on the ACWCC Committee, witnessing the milestone agreement.

Concurrently, the AMS executive team engaged in strategic discussions and networking sessions with representatives from various universities, hospitals, and healthcare agencies across China. These interactions provided a valuable platform to exchange knowledge and explore pathways for educational and research partnerships, paving the way for concrete, long-term collaborations between the institutions in the future.
