Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, M.D., President of Chiang Mai University, along with the university’s executive team and Associate Professor Dr. Ratchada Cressey, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), extended a warm welcome to H.E. (Mrs.) Lucy N. Kirothu, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Thailand.

The visit, which took place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, aimed to discuss potential academic collaborations and educational exchange programs between Chiang Mai University and Kenyan institutions. A significant participant in the discussion was Ms. Christine Khatiala Muya, a Ph.D. student from Kenya currently studying at the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, CMU.

The meeting was held at the Mom Luang Pin Malakul Reception Room, University Administration Building 1, Chiang Mai University.
