The Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences (AMS), Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Busaba Chuatrakoon and Assistant Professor Dr. Sauwaluk Dacha, accompanied a team of graduate students to the International Physical Therapy Research Symposium 2026 (IPTRS 2026). The symposium, held under the theme “Bridging Science and Movement for a Healthier Tomorrow,” took place at Chulalongkorn University on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Two outstanding graduate students represented the faculty through research presentations and were recognized with awards:
Ms. Jarinya Kraisalee, a Master’s student in the Physical Therapy program, received the Honorable Mention Oral Presentation Award for her research titled "Physiological Determinants of Inspiratory Muscle Strength in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease." This study was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Sauwaluk Dacha.
Mr. Natthakitt Yongpraderm, a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Sciences program, presented his research titled "Alteration of Active Achilles Tendon Stiffness in Recreational Runners with Unilateral Plantar Fasciitis." This work was supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Orawan Prasartwuth and Associate Professor Dr. Aatit Paungmali.
