The Ph.D. Program in Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University, participated in the Double Degree Program (DDP) Symposium in collaboration with the Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kumamoto University. The event, titled "Biomedical Synergy: Decoding the Complexity of Human Diseases," was held from January 29–30, 2026, at the Siriraj Medical Research Center (SiMR), Mahidol University.
Two faculty members from the Ph.D. program delivered research presentations at the symposium:
Assistant Professor Dr. Uten Yarach presented on the topic: “Synergizing AI and Model-Based MRI Physics: Advancing the Technical Frontier Toward Disease Decoding.”
Assistant Professor Dr. Jiraporn Kantapan presented on the topic: “PM2.5 as an Immune Modulator: How Airborne Particulates Drive Macrophages to Support Lung Tumor Progression.”
