AMS Faculty Members in the Division of Clinical Microbiology, Department of Medical Technology Asst. Prof. Dr. Chayada Sitthidej Tharinjaroen and Asst. Prof. Dr. Usanee Wattananandkul were invited to attend the international conference “The Mekong One Health Innovation Program (MOHIP) Final One Health Symposium,” held on December 10–11, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnam. The event was organized by the Michigan State University–led MOHIP project in collaboration with Phenikaa University, Vietnam.

During the symposium, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chayada had the honor of presenting her research entitled “Prevalence, Diversity, and Risk Factors of Streptococcus suis Infection in Nan Province, Northern Thailand: A One Health Study in Humans, Pigs, and the Environment.”

This research project, funded by MOHIP for the period 2024–2025, is conducted in collaboration with multidisciplinary faculty members and researchers from both domestic and international institutions, with the aim of addressing One Health challenges in the Mekong region.
