Assistant Professor Dr. Woottichai Khamduang, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Technology and Head of the VERDI Research Project, led the LUCENT International Collaboration Team (comprising researchers from the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, the Research Institute for Health Sciences (RIHES), and the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University), in attending the VERDI 5th General Assembly in Rome, Italy, from September 23–24, 2025.

The Assembly brought together international researchers to exchange knowledge and discuss future global research collaborations.

During the event, the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences Research Team was honored with the Cohort Pioneer Award. This prestigious achievement reflects the team's dedication, commitment, and strong potential in driving international research. Furthermore, the award is a crucial step that demonstrates the growing capability of Thai researchers to play a leading role on the global academic stage.
