Ms. Nichanan Kengdacha, a Master's student in Physical Therapy, together with Ms. Rattaporn Boonchieng, Mr. Virat Dechakoon, and Mr. Peeranut Ngerninta, fourth-year undergraduate students from the Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University, won two prestigious international awards for their innovative project titled "BalanceSync+: Precision Balance & Mobility Analysis System" at the Japan Design Idea & Invention Expo 2025 (JDIE).
The team was honored with the NRCT Special Award for the Excellent Invention and the Gold Medal Award at the event held at Bellesalle Haneda Airport, Japan, from July 5–6, 2025. The project was developed under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriphan Kongsawasdi and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Wantanajittikul.
BalanceSync+ is an innovative system designed to analyze balance and mobility with high precision. Its primary goal is to assess fall risk and enhance rehabilitation outcomes through detailed data collection using advanced technology. The system is suitable for use in physical therapy clinics as well as in elderly healthcare services.
This achievement not only showcases the talents and capabilities of CMU students but also reflects the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences ongoing progress in innovation on the international stage.
